In order that the Center for Instructional Services may better meet your needs for service, the following policies are adhered to by the Center.
Service and Production Priorities
Within each priority classification, the policy of “first
come – first served” is followed.
Priority is granted to instructional projects and academic
research presentations. Projects may be declined or referred
to off-campus facilities if demand for services is high or
deadlines are abbreviated.
First - Classroom Instructional Support
Second - Professional Research and Presentations
Third - University Related Programs
Fourth - Other Requests
Charges
Only the actual cost of materials utilized by a production request will be charged back to the requesting department and/or individual.
Normally, labor costs incurred by a production request will not be charged back to the client.
Occasionally, a major project may require full or partial charge back for labor costs.
This will be determined at the time the project is submitted. Costs for any equipment, which must be rented, will be charged back.
For more detailed information, refer to the Center for Instructional Services Fall 2007 General Rate Schedule
(Please double check with Conference Services on what they are charging for equipment
to outside groups) or pick up a copy in the main office. Click
here for Graphics and Video chargeback information.
Copyright
The Center for Instructional Services reserves the right to refuse
to accept a request if fulfillment of that request would involve
violation of federal copyright laws and guidelines. For more assistance
with Copyright and Plagiarism please visit our resource page on the topic.
Property and Residual Rights
It is ordinarily assumed that all duplication and dissemination rights to materials produced by the Center for Instructional Services are held by Texas Christian University unless a specific negotiated agreement specifies otherwise. Any materials to be sold, rented or used in a product (book, videotape, etc.) for which royalties will be received cannot be used without a written agreement.
